a situation described !

I've known something for a long time, that I would do unconsciously. And other people do it too. But I couldn't describe it. It's just that it's not something that I can see with my eyes, it's what my mind sees.

I was reading Emma today morning, and then the author, Jane Austen, described the situation this post is about so accurately, I started laughing. It's too beautiful to be able to say something like that.

"...and make everybody's talents conduce to the display of his own superiority; to be dispensing his flatteries around that he may make all appear like fools compared with himself !..."

You know, like if you're talking with someone and he says something smart which you hadn't thought of, so you say: hmmm, you're right, only if eg. velocity is greater initially. when in fact you should say: well done. And then be quiet.

Or your sister draws something nice, so you say: yes...very good, but instead of blue down here you should have used green, because... When in fact you should say: well done. And then be quiet.

Or your classmate is better than you at Biology. And you've just come out the classroom, and you say: you know, you're really good at remembering facts, but you need to improve your problem solving. like you're better than him everywhere, to be able to asses him. When in fact you should say: you're amazing mashAllah. And then be quiet.

  4. Hey thanks Saqib and Somro. Saqib, the only way I know is to 'follow' the blog, but you must have a blog yourself.

See right at the top of the page.
