Alhamdulillah

Alhamdulillah.
I am very happy for myself and Ibraheem. And whoever else got their results.
InshAllah it is what is best, because that's what is important.
Have a twinkle-starry night and a twinkle-toe sunny day.

Literary Exercise

salam,

Have a sunlit morning, as we say in Arabic.

I can tell you an orange is orange and round, with tiny pinpricks all over it. You could do the same. But if I saw an orange orchard I wouldn't know how to describe it. Probably not. Actually if I did you would probably not know how to imagine it.

So here's an Exercise: You have to describe this photo, like you were standing there ( or walking, it doesn't really make much difference ). ( Of course you might have been jogging actually ).

I'll go first inshAllah.

AND DON'T OPEN COMMENTS UNTIL YOU'VE THOUGHT OF HOW THIS LOOKS LIKE.

I would like to know how to tell stories. If did I would know how to write stories. Even long stories, which are called novels. But I don't, because mostly when I tell a story and I get to the exciting bit and I start narrating loudly and acting it out and everyone's like yeah.yeah..and??! and it flops like this sentence.

So I worked out that if I can't tell a story by words, if I shot many videos I could tell a story with them. So here..

P.S. How do I show the video bigger? and P.Ss look educated.

things I am happy to have found, alhamdulillah

My dad has been asking me and Ibrahim to clean up the room for ages. Last weekend he's patience finally gave up and he attacked our room with he's mercenary army ( my sisters ), who were motivated by peculiar female inquisitiveness to know what boys' rooms are made of, besides the promise of booty left in the scattered army's flight.

The room is now clean and dark blue, and I like it evermore.

Here's some of what I found as I toiled in captivity, and worked the land that I once ruled.

The front page of my Chemistry notebook. I don't like Chemistry.

a sketch I did one night about the morning

I made this up last winter when I was driving, and I quickly dashed home and wrote it down on a post-it and put it up on my bed frame.

P.S. do you like the blog big and open like now?

a situation described !

I've known something for a long time, that I would do unconsciously. And other people do it too. But I couldn't describe it. It's just that it's not something that I can see with my eyes, it's what my mind sees.

I was reading Emma today morning, and then the author, Jane Austen, described the situation this post is about so accurately, I started laughing. It's too beautiful to be able to say something like that.

"...and make everybody's talents conduce to the display of his own superiority; to be dispensing his flatteries around that he may make all appear like fools compared with himself !..."

You know, like if you're talking with someone and he says something smart which you hadn't thought of, so you say: hmmm, you're right, only if eg. velocity is greater initially. when in fact you should say: well done. And then be quiet.

Or your sister draws something nice, so you say: yes...very good, but instead of blue down here you should have used green, because... When in fact you should say: well done. And then be quiet.

Or your classmate is better than you at Biology. And you've just come out the classroom, and you say: you know, you're really good at remembering facts, but you need to improve your problem solving. like you're better than him everywhere, to be able to asses him. When in fact you should say: you're amazing mashAllah. And then be quiet.

there's a sandstorm sandstorm sandstorm, outside the window
hey my little twigger, you've got a twitchy tail
there was once a chauffeur
who sang a little song
as he drove the roads
and when he sat down to write it
he forgot it all
but the road had lanes
and it had cars
and the cars moved together
to the rhyme of his song
